A fifth generation Californian, Chloe Wilson was born and raised in Pacific Grove, CA where she began painting at an early age. She earned her BFA from the University of California at Davis, and continued her informal education during time spent living in Chicago and Oakland before returning to the Monterey Peninsula in 2013. In 2017 she was accepted to the Carmel Art Association as the youngest new member to be admitted in their 90-year history. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally in both group and solo settings, including a solo show at the Monterey Museum of Art in 2018. She is especially interested in the visual melding of the natural world with the factitious, and her current body of acrylic paintings juxtaposes urban and architectural details against moody evening skies.
